I contract out my engineering skills through a transparent, cashflow-friendly model. Here is how I structure my project engagements from initial down payment to final IP handover.
Dynamic Hourly Rates
Projects are estimated based on a target duration of weeks or months, dedicating roughly 20 man-hours of focused development per week. My current rate is $25/hr, which increases with each completed portfolio project.
Deposit & Installments
We secure the project schedule with a 10%–20% non-refundable deposit upfront. The remaining balance is divided into flat, predictable weekly installments paid throughout the active development window.
3–6 Months On-Call
Upon launch, I remain semi-on-call for 3 to 6 months to handle bug fixes, maintenance, and optimizations at no additional cost, ensuring your application operates flawlessly.
IP Buyout Options
By default, Tate Ellis Technologies retains all project IP. You can purchase full IP ownership rights at project completion or delivery (whichever comes first) for exactly 50% of the original contract price.
